Any good and simple gravy recipe to go with chicken?

A lot depends on how the chicken was cooked. With fried chicken, I almost always make a milk graving, uing some of the fat from frying the chicken and adding flour, cooking til flour starts to brown, then adding milk. For most gravies you will want 1 TBS fat, 1 TBS flour (or cornstarch) and 1 CUP liquid. Cook, stirring, until thickened and bubbly. You can also make gravy using broth. You can also take any broth, (or bullion cube or powder and water or milk and add flour or cornstarch before heating up to thicken and boil.Any good and simple gravy recipe to go with chicken?

Hey I was in a bit of a jam once and used a can of cream of chicken soup but used water instead of milk and it has become the chicken gravy of the house....Try it you may like it also...Hope I helped.
Melt some butter in a sauce pan - about half a cup. Slowly add flour while briskly whisking the mixture until it is the consistency of a thick paste. Then slowly whisk in chicken/veggie/beef stock (whatever you like) until the consistency is as thick or thin as you like. If you'd like it creamier, add some milk or cream also. Add salt and pepper to taste.

The key is to really whisk when you're adding the liquid. If you end up with lumps, just pour it through a strainer.
The EASIEST thing to do for chicken gravy is to use a can of condensed chicken soup and DON'T add water.

I like to use chicken broth or dropping with a can of cream of mushroom soup... Just whisk together the soup/drippings to make a mushroom gravy you can even cut up some fresh mushrooms so it looks more homemade... .You can thin it down with water if you need to...I cheat and do this at thanksgiving INSTEAD of making homemade...It goes over really well and no one has to know.....
