Does anyone have a recipe for Chicken A La King that is just like stouffers?

Serve chicken a la king over hot cooked rice, toast, biscuits, or cooked pastry shells.





INGREDIENTS:





1/4 cup butter or margarine


1/4 cup flour


2 tablespoons chopped onion


4 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


2 cups milk


2 cups diced cooked chicken


1/4 cup chopped drained pimiento (2 ounce jar)





PREPARATION:


Melt butter or margarine in a medium saucepan. Cook onion and mushrooms over medium low heat until onion is tender. Add flour and salt, stirring until mixture is smooth. Gradually stir in milk and Worcestershire sauce.


Continue cooking and stirring for about 3 minutes or until mixture is thick and begins to bubble; stir in chicken and drained chopped pimiento. Heat through and serve over hot cooked rice, pastry shells, or toast.

3 tbsp. flour


3/4 tsp. salt


1/8 tsp. pepper


3/4 c. half and half (I use skim


milk, canned)


1/2 c. hot water


1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon


2 c. cut up chicken or turkey


1 can cut up mushroom stems %26amp; pieces,


drained


2 tbsp. finely chopped pimiento





You can use puff pastry shells or muffins. To Serve: Place margarine in bowl (medium). Microwave at High 30 seconds, blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually stir in half and half, water and instant bouillon. Micro Medium High until thick, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring once. Stir in chicken, mushrooms and pimientos. Micro at Medium High 5 to 8 minutes, stirring once. Serve over muffins or pastry shells. Serves 4.
