I have grilled chicken wings before and I usually use a bottled marinade. I want to make them a little more interesting as they are for my husband's b'day party. Do you have a tasty recipe for marinade (not too spicy though?) Thanks!Marinade recipe for grilled chicken wings?
I thnk it depends on what flavor spectrum you're aiming for. There are terrific recipes for hot wings and there are great recipes for teriyaki wings. Here are a couple of ideas you might also want to consider:
1. Marinate your wings in a mixture of buttermilk, hot sauce, kosher salt, coarse ground peppercorn, sage, thyjme, and rosemary for at least 12 hours, preferably longer.
2. Drain your wings and grill until crispy and done.
3. When finished, sprinkle generously with lemon pepper and kosher salt.
or
1. Marinate your wings in a spicy Italian dressing overnight
2. Drain and wrap in thick sliced platter bacon
3. Grill until wings are done and bacon is crispy
4. Brush with a mixture of maple syrup, melted butter, and a dash of hot sauce.
or
1. Marinate your wings in a mixture of white wine, lemon juice, garlic, peppercorn, rosemary, and tarragon.
2. Drain and grill until done.
3. Baste with a mixture of white wine, butter, and dijon mustard
4. Season to taste with salt and pepper
Dipping sauces will always enhance your wings, so consider making your own blue cheese or ranch. You can also create a great dipping sauce by mixing together melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Bon Appeti!Marinade recipe for grilled chicken wings?

Directions:
Combine the marinate ingredients. Place chicken in a resealable bag, add marinate seal, removing as much air as possible from the bag. When ready to grill remove from marinate, discard the excess marinade and grill until chicken is fork tender and no pink remains. I like to cut the boneless chicken breast into strips, lengthwise and marinate for 1-2 hours, if possible.

';This is the similar to the hot wings recipe served at a popular restaurant chain. If you have ever had them, you have to love them.';
INGREDIENTS:
oil for deep frying
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup hot sauce
1 dash ground black pepper
1 dash garlic powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). The oil should be just enough to cover wings entirely, an inch or so deep. Combine the butter, hot sauce, pepper and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir together and heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat and reserve for serving.
2. In a small bowl mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper and salt. Place chicken wings in a large nonporous glass dish or bowl and sprinkle flour mixture over them until they are evenly coated. Cover dish or bowl and refrigerate for 60 to 90 minutes.
3. Fry coated wings in hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until parts of wings begin to turn brown. Remove from heat, place wings in serving bowl, add hot sauce mixture and stir together. Serve.

A great marinade for chicken is a simple bottle for Italian Salad Dressing. It has your oil, vinegar, and seasoning packed in and it's super tasty.
this glaze/marinade is really good:
balsalmic vinegar
honey
orange juice
salt
pepper
red pepper flakes
mix all ingrediants until well blended
Spicy Italian Dressing, Kraft or Wishbone are good.
